The Ionian Sea, an Incomparable Pleasure

Greece is made up of an archipelago of over 6,000 islands, of which only about 227 are inhabited. The Greek islands are
known for their stunning landscapes, with crystalclear waters, sandy beaches, lush mountains, and picturesque
villages. Some of the most famous islands include Santorini, Mykonos, Rhodes, and Corfu.

The Ionian Islands are a group of seven main islands located in the Ionian Sea, west of mainland Greece. They offer beautiful beaches, traditional architecture, rich history, and a relaxed atmosphere. Exploring the islands by sea is a great way to enjoy their beauty and sail from island to island to explore secluded coves, picturesque ports, and fishing villages.

Possible Itinerary Ideas

Day 1 - Corfu
We pick you up at Corfu International Airport and after a 10-minute taxi-ride, the skipper welcomes you on board Albatros to the citadel anchorage. Corfu's citadel mooring is located in the northeastern part of the island. It offers an impressive view, with the old Venetian fortress overlooking the harbor. The anchorage is well protected from the prevailing winds, with good holding in the sand and grass bottoms. The main berth can accommodate yachts up to 60 meters in length, with facilities for water, electricity and waste disposal. Visitors can enjoy the many restaurants, boutiques and tourist attractions of Corfu's nearby old town
Day 2 - Paxos
After a morning swim, we're sailing to Paxos. We take advantage of the morning calm to have breakfast at sea, and after 1h30 we're already at the Lefkimi mooring, in front of sandy beaches that you can reach with a few paddle strokes. We can have lunch and enjoy a swim, before leaving for Paxos, just 2 hours away. We then arrive at Lakka or Gaios. Lakka is a charming little village on the north coast of the island of Paxos, with its traditional houses, typical streets and tavernas serving local culinary cuisine. Sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters are nearby for those who want to swim or relax.
Day 3 - Antipaxos, Levkas then Meganisi
In the morning, we leave for Antipaxos, a tiny island just south of Paxos. It's famous for its crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches, which are among the most beautiful in Greece. Visitors can explore the island by walking along hiking trails, or relax on the beaches and swim in the turquoise waters. There are no villages or tourist amenities on the island, making it ideal for those seeking a tranquil getaway in the heart of nature. We take advantage of the downwind conditions in the afternoon to sail to Levkas, using the Lefkada channel and then reaching Meganisi. Spartochori is a traditional, picturesque Greek village perched on a hill with panoramic views of the Ionian Sea. Visitors can enjoy walking along its narrow paved streets, discovering its stone houses, churches and tavernas serving local culinary specialties, while enjoying the sunset over the nearby islands.
Day 4 - Athokos, Itaki or Kastos
The village of Kioni has preserved its traditional charm, with its paved streets bordered by colorful stone houses, tavernas serving local culinary specialties and craft stores. Don't hesitate to take the path up to the top of the village after the church. After 20 minutes, an exceptional view of the Ionian Islands is yours. You can also rent e-bikes from Maria, just past the church. This Swiss- native will be delighted to welcome you to her store. Tips: it's just impossible to miss the "Pork (or Lamb) on the stick" that has been cooked since early afternoon !
Day 5 - Kefalonia
Fiskardo is a colorful village on the northern tip of the island of Kefalonia. The village has preserved its traditional architecture, with colorful stone houses, paved streets and shady squares. Visitors can enjoy walking through the lively streets and souvenir stores, or tasting the local cuisine in the restaurants. The nearby beaches are accessible by boat, offering crystal-clear waters and isolated creeks for swimming and relaxing. Fiskardo is also close to several archaeological sites and beautiful nature walks.
Day 6 - Sivota
The Sivota mooring offers excellent protection from prevailing winds, with a secure hold in the sandy shallows. The area's beaches are accessible by boat, offering crystal-clear waters and secluded bays for swimming and relaxing. Visitors can also explore the surrounding hills, offering beautiful panoramic views of the Ionian Sea and surrounding islands.
Day 7 - Back in Corfu, marina Gouvia
Once docked, take a taxi to the old town of Corfu or go to Natalie's family restaurant on the beach, with a panoramic view of the citadel, for one last magical evening. The taxi driver will be waiting for you in the morning to drive you back to the airport.
